Where to Begin

We’re Here for You

At Rosewood, we’re dedicated to supporting you during the process of funeral planning and making it one of love, healing, and life celebration. When you choose Rosewood Cremation & Funeral, you get FREE access to our facilities for a two-hour meet & greet following the cremation or burial service. You can use this time to gather with your loved ones and share memories, take comfort in the presence of friends and family, and focus on the life lived by the person you're remembering.

First Steps After Loss:

 1. Within the First Hours

When a loved one passes away at home or in a location that is not a healthcare facility, it is essential to initiate contact with emergency personnel before arrangements can be made for their transfer into our care. Emergency services play a crucial role in coordinating the initial steps following a death outside a medical setting.

In the unfortunate event of a loved one passing away in a healthcare facility, the responsibility of contacting the appropriate authorities and facilitating the necessary documentation typically falls under the purview of the healthcare facility itself. They are equipped to assist you in navigating the immediate post-death procedures and obtaining the required documents.

In instances where uncertainty arises regarding the appropriate course of action, we encourage you to reach out to us directly. Our team is ready to provide guidance and support, ensuring that you navigate this challenging time with clarity and confidence. Whether the passing occurs at home or in a healthcare facility, our commitment is to assist you in every step of the process, offering compassionate and personalized care during this difficult moment.

 2. Within the First Days

Within the first few days, you’ll need to choose a funeral home to begin the planning process. If your loved one has pre-planned funeral preferences, we’ll go over those with you at our first meeting. If not, we’ll go over some of the decisions you’ll need to begin thinking about.

 3. What to Expect From Us

When you meet with a member of our staff to discuss arrangements for the first time, we’ll work with you to create a service that honors your loved one and meets your needs and budget requirements.
We’ll want to get to know more about your loved one to gain insight into the person the service will be honoring. This is a great time for you to share their story, revisit cherished memories, and highlight the impact they made on the lives of others. We’ll use what you share to help guide you as we plan a personalized and meaningful celebration of your loved one’s life.
