Winnovene Bowers

Winnovene Bowers, lovingly known as Winn, passed away on May 6, 2026 at the age of 90. Winnovene was born on September 8, 1935, in Scotland, Van Buren County, Arkansas to her parents Everett and Bevie Henley. She was a generous, smart, talented, and dedicated woman who touched the lives of many. Her life was a testament to her deep love for her family, which was what mattered most to her.

Winnovene was a dedicated military wife, living in various locations around the world, including France and the Philippines. After settling in Morrilton, Arkansas for the last 34 years, she worked as an accountant until her retirement. Winnovene had a keen intellect and was a talented professional. She was known for her generosity, often going above and beyond to help others, and for her smart financial acumen.

Winnovene was predeceased by her husband, Delton Bowers, whom she married on August 8, 1953, and their son, Robert Bowers I. She is survived by her children, Duane (Elizabeth) Bowers and Janice (Donald) Carter, and her daughter-in-law Lori Bowers. Winnovene also leaves behind many grandchildren including Robert Bowers II, great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins who will greatly miss her.
