Wanda Alvey, a woman of extraordinary creativity and an unwavering spirit, left us on October 21, 2026. Born in Paris, Texas, on August 8, 1937, Wanda spent her 89 years impacting the lives of all she encountered with her warmth, determination, and vibrant energy. As Alice Walker once wrote, "In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect." These words beautifully capture Wanda's life, which was a fascinating blend of love, creativity, and resilience that touched everyone she met.

As a proud resident of Morrilton, Arkansas, Wanda was a familiar face in the retail industry, where she demonstrated an unparalleled work ethic and a unique sense of style. Her passion for antiquing was not just a hobby, but a reflection of her appreciation for history, beauty and the stories that each object held within. With a keen eye for hidden treasures, Wanda spent many enjoyable years buying and selling antiques, further cementing her reputation as a creative force. She was a woman who found beauty in the old and the worn, seeing beyond the surface to the stories and memories that made each piece special. She was devoted to making money.

Wanda’s was the mother of Karen Johnson of Conway, William Alvey of Bellville,AR, Terry(Debbie) Alvey, Gary(Jan) Alvey, Sharon Stumbaugh, and Lawanda Clay all of Morrilton. She was a proud grandmother to sixteen grandchildren, a great-grandmother to twenty-six great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to two. She was a cherished sister to Shirley Wescott. Wanda was predeceased by her parents, George Patterson and Nina Chitesten, her son, Barry Alvey, sisters, Betty Bennett and Peggy Pratt, and two of her grandchildren. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering, and her legacy lives on through them.

As we remember Wanda, let us celebrate the essence of a life well-lived, a life filled with love, creativity, and resilience. Wanda lived a life that was beautifully imperfect and perfectly beautiful, just like the antiques she cherished. We encourage you to share your memories of Wanda and upload photos to her memorial page, keeping her spirit alive in our hearts and minds.
