Terry Ellison

–

Morrilton, Arkansas

In the early hours of May 24, 2025, the world said farewell to a one-of-a-kind soul, Terry Ellison. Born in Houston, TX on October 30, 1953, Terry was a man who lived life on his own terms, often with a twinkle in his eye and a mischievous grin. He spent his days making a living as a Heavy Equipment Operator, working in the construction industry and he worked at the Perry County Landfill for many years. Yet his true passion was the great outdoors, where he'd often disappear, possibly to plot his next prank or, more likely, to catch a fish or two. Terry was a funny and loving character who will be sorely missed.

Terry was affectionately known by many as “Santa’s evil twin” and "Hippy", nicknames that captured his playful spirit and his ability to find joy in the simplest of things. He was a man who embraced the unconventional, from his love of nature to his unique sense of humor. As Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started," and Terry was a man who was never afraid to dive headfirst into life's adventures.

Terry was predeceased by his father, Billie Ellison, his mother, Maureen Franklin, and his brother, Randy Ellison. Though his family ties on earth have been severed, we take comfort in the knowledge that there's likely a wild reunion happening on the other side, complete with laughter, good-natured ribbing, and some heavenly pranks.
Terry Will be missed by his sisters, Gwenda, Sherry, & Angela and a host of other family and friends.

Today, we remember Terry not with sadness, but with a smile. As we honor his life, let us remember him as he was: a man full of humor, love, and a spirit that refused to be tamed.
We invite you to share your fondest memories of Terry and upload photos to his memorial page. Because Terry's story isn't just about the end, but about all the laughter, love, and adventures that came before.
