Stephen Parlier

–

Jerusalem, Arkansas

With great sadness, we announce the passing of a dedicated, funny, loving, and smart man, Stephen Parlier, affectionately known as Magoo and G-Paw to his grandkids, on May 30, 2026. Born on December 14, 1951, in Little Rock, AR, Stephen lived a life filled with laughter, love, and tireless service. After retiring from the US Air Force, he found his true joy in spending time with his family and making everyone around him burst into laughter with his quick wit and playful spirit. "The only thing better than a good joke is a joke that brings joy to others," he would often say, his eyes sparkling with mirth.

Stephen had an undying love for his family, his dogs, his grandchildren, and America. His love ran deep, and his devotion was clear to anyone who met him. He was a man who found his happiness in the simple pleasure of messing with his grandchildren and showering his dogs with affection. In the words of Mark Twain, "The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog." Stephen certainly lived by this creed, cherishing his furry companions as much as his family. His love for his country was equally profound, having dedicated many years to serving in the Air Force. His service reflected his deep-seated patriotism and unshakeable commitment to the values he held dear.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Janie Parlier, and their children Christina (Cory) Garrison, Jason Spence, Morgan Lucas, Stephen(Treca) Parlier Jr., Linda Parlier, Kim Parlier, and Alexis Gibson. His legacy also lives on through his 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rita Parlier, and his children, Paula Kuettle and Michale Dodson.

In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, "It is not length of life, but depth of life." Stephen embodied this wisdom, living a life full of love, humor, and dedication. He leaves behind a legacy of joy that will be cherished forever. Please consider sharing your memories of Stephen and uploading any photos you may have to his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a comforting reminder of the love and laughter he brought into our lives.
