Nedia Bryant

–

Morrilton, Arkansas

Nedia Bryant, born on a chilly winter day, February 13, 1948, in North Little Rock, AR, was a force of nature. Her stubborn determination was matched only by her humor and her capacity for love. The world was graced with her presence for 78 wonderful years. She was a woman of strong faith, a dedicated member of the Fort Reach Church for over three decades. Her faith was a beacon that guided her through life's most challenging moments, inspiring her to live by the words of Psalm 46:1-3, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

As a factory worker, Nedia’s tenacity served her well, allowing her to overcome obstacles and thrive in her profession. But her life was about so much more than just work. She found joy in simple pleasures like fishing on a sunny afternoon, singing hymns from her bible, and savoring Chinese cuisine. Her love for her family was immeasurable, their happiness and well-being was what mattered most to her.

Nedia leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Bryant, Sammy Jr., Jason Bryant, and Sara Bryant; her siblings, Deborah (Joseph) Kruk, Don Helton, Bill Helton, and Sharon (Steve) Phillips; and her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Bryant, Brittany Bryant, and Joshua Bryant also her special friend, Marilyn(Jake) Lee. Her spirit will also live on in the countless memories she created with them and others who were lucky enough to know her. Nedia was preceded in death by her Husband Sam Bryant, parents, Harlan and Dolly Helton; her daughter, Theresa Bryant; her siblings, Kenneth Helton, Helen Rowden, Shirley Walker, and Frances Harrington; and her grandson, Sammual Bryant.

Nedia's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience. As we remember her, let us be reminded of her favorite quote, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." To honor Nedia's memory, we invite you to share your favorite stories, memories, and photographs of her on her memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a lasting tribute to a woman who made a difference in so many lives.
