Milton Chance

–

Conway, Arkansas

Milton Chance, affectionately known as "Junior", was born in Conway, AR on December 14, 1965, and lived a life characterized by adventure, compassion, and courage. His zest for life was apparent in his love for the outdoors, a passion he carried with him throughout his time in Conway and Morrilton. His adventurous spirit often found him astride his beloved motorcycle, riding with the wind as his companion. Every road, every path was a new adventure waiting to be discovered. Mark Twain once said, "Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do." Milton truly lived by this mantra, always ready to explore the uncharted, whether it was a new trail on his motorcycle or a new project in his work as a carpenter.

Milton's compassionate heart shone through in his deep love for animals, especially dogs. He was not just a friend to humans but to every creature he crossed paths with. This compassion extended to his hunting pursuits, which were never about the sport but about the deep respect and connection he felt with nature. His courage was evident in his career in construction, where he faced challenges head-on, always rising to the occasion. The love he put into his work as a carpenter was a testament to his belief in the dignity and value of hard work. Milton's love extended beyond his hobbies and work, touching the hearts of his nieces and nephews whom he adored.

Milton's life was a testament to the power of love, as he valued his family above all else. He was the loving son of Catherine Taylor, who survives him, and was preceded in death by his father, Milton Senior. As we remember Milton, let us celebrate his adventurous spirit, his compassionate heart, and his courageous soul. As Vincent Van Gogh beautifully put it, "The way to know life is to love many things." Milton knew life well because he loved deeply.
