Mary Edna Love

Mary Edna Love, a spirited and loving matriarch, was born on Christmas Day in 1937 in Friendswood, Texas and lost her battle with dementia on August 14, 2026 at 88 years old. Her sparkling personality and zest for life were a gift to all who knew her. Mary was a creative spirit who found profound joy in quilting and gardening, hobbies that allowed her to express her unique artistic vision while providing a serene sanctuary from the world. Her smart, keen eye for pattern and color earned her many awards in the quilting world, and yet, the accolades were always secondary to the joy of creating. Mary also found great fulfillment in nurturing her beautiful garden, a testament to her patience and love.

Mary resided in Morrilton, Arkansas for 31 years, where she lived a life rich in love and shared experiences. She was a cherished member of many quilting clubs, where her warm personality and sharing nature made her a favorite among her peers. Mary married the love of her life, Linley Rex Love, on August 30, 1985. Despite his passing, their love story continued to inspire all who heard it. Mary was widowed, but her family was her rock. She is survived by her children Tina Bise, Bobby (Toni) Gilbert Jr., Betty (Ron) Zozgornik, Michael Gilbert, and her sister Janice (Denny) Dickson. She was blessed to have had grandchildren , great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Linley Rex, her parents Herman McKinney and Lorena June Shockley, her daughter Janet Pruitt and son-in-law Bob Pruitt, her son-in-law Mickey Bise, and her siblings Claudine Albert, William McKinney, and Beckham Allen.

Mary's life was a beautiful tapestry, woven together with threads of love, creativity, and spirited energy. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
