Leilua Fadely Obituary (1964 - 2022)

Leilua Teresa Fadely (Foma'i) first born to William Foma'i and Mary Foma'i (Fiatoa) 5 October 1964 in San Francisco, CA.. Passed from mortality 21January 2022 in Conway, Arkansas from complication due to dialysis. She and her husband Bill had recently moved to Arkansas to care for Bill's elderly father. I was thought that the move to more southern latitudes would do her good. The separation from her family was difficult as she had always been close to her brother and sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Pepe and brother William Fomai' Jr.. She is survived by her husband William Fadely, sister Dina Foma'i, sons Jordan William Fomai'-Fadely, Vincent William Fadely and grandson Jayden Miguel Fomai'-Fadely. Leilua came to Arkansas by way of American Samoa, Hawaii, and Alaska. She had a long career as an administrator in many companies and industries including shipping, insurance, environmental quality, and lastly Alaska Psychiatric Institute where she retired in 2019. Leilua gave of her time to many volunteer efforts, the largest being the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved involvement with the youth and served a period of time as a seminary instructor. She derived much happiness from service in the church. Much of Leilua's joy came from support of family and friends. Whether on social media, by phone or in person, her joy was in the ability to lift and strengthen her contacts. Building relationships is what she did and gloried in. The latest jewel of her crown was in Jayden.
