It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Larry Maxwell, a thoughtful soul who brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. Born on April 6, 1952, Larry was a beacon of loyalty and kindness throughout his life. His dedication to his family, his church, and his passions were unwavering, leaving an impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Larry was a man of varied interests, but three hobbies held a special place in his heart: dirt track races, hot rod cars, and WWE wrestling. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he often shared these passions with his family and friends. He was a committed member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where his faith brought him solace and strength. As it is written in the Book of Matthew, "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Larry lived these words, showing dedication in every aspect of his life.
Larry leaves behind his father, Narvin Maxwell; his sons, Timothy (Megan) Maxwell and Clayton Maxwell; his brother, Ralph Maxwell; his sister, Doris (Carrol) VanDalsen and eight grandchildren. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss his cheerful presence. Larry was preceded in death by his wife Kim Lunsford Maxwell and his mother, Blanch Maxwell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 10:00am CDT at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 900 East Drilling Street, Morrilton, Arkansas, 72110. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am CDT at the same location. We encourage all who knew and loved Larry to join us in celebrating his life and honoring his memory.
We kindly invite you to leave your cherished memories of Larry and upload photos to his memorial page. Let us remember Larry for the thoughtful, loyal man he was, and let his spirit live on in our hearts.
