Mount Vernon, Arkansas
With deepest sorrow, we announce that Johnny Peppers, born on April 25, 1954 in Helena, AR, passed away on April 26, 2025. Johnny, a resident of Mount Vernon, Arkansas, was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a smart man, known for his reliable nature, and was dedicated to his family above all else.
Johnny was a retired concrete construction worker, a career he dedicated himself to with tenacity and diligence. His work ethic was admirable, and it was reflected not only in his professional life but also in his personal relationships. His reliability was a beacon to those who knew him, and his dedication was most evident in his love and commitment to his family. As James E. Faust once said, "The depth of the love of parents for their children cannot be measured. It is like no other relationship. It exceeds concern for life itself."
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Tamara Peppers; his sons, Brad (Crystal) Peppers and Kyle (Sara) Mays; his daughters, Olivia (Nick) Baureis and Sarah Peppers; his brother, Charles Peppers; his sister, Patsy Moore; and his cherished grandchildren, Britt Alverson, Juniper Mays, and Laurel Mays. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Wilma Peppers, and his brother, Jimmy Peppers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10:30am CDT at Mt Vernon Baptist Church, located at 6 Garland Springs Road, Mount Vernon, Arkansas, 72111. A celebration of Johnny's life will follow at 11:00am CDT at the same location.
