John William Clement

–

Holland, Arkansas

It is with a sense of lightness and love that we celebrate the life of John William Clement, affectionately known as "Creeper" to his biker friends. Born on a sunny spring day on April 19, 1963, in Marianna, AR, John brought the same warmth and light into the world that greeted him on his birth. His creativity knew no bounds, whether he was elbows deep in the guts of an automobile or crafting a new route for his beloved motorcycle crew, the Highway Creepers. His charisma was as powerful as the engines he loved; John had a knack for making everyone feel like they were the only person in the room, and his adventurous spirit was infectious.

John began his journey in Conway, AR, but found his forever home in Holland, Arkansas, where he spent 30 love-filled years. His love for tinkering led him into a successful career as an ASE Certified Mechanic. John's love for the road led him to found the Highway Creepers Motorcycle Riding Club, through which he made lifelong friends and supported numerous causes including Toys for Tots and Bikers for Babies. John's adventurous spirit was not confined to the open road. He was also a loving husband to Ellisa Clement, with whom he shared his life since their marriage on August 9, 1997.John is also survived by his daughters: Jennifer Jenner Clement, Jamielee Chandler; Sons: Glen Stambaugh Jr (Janice), Brett Barr (Diana), Steven McDaniel; Brothers: Jerry Clement (Cheryl), Danny Clement (JB); Sister: Michelle “Shelly/squirrel” Deavers (Mark); 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.

As the late Anthony Bourdain once said, "Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you." John's marks can be seen in the smiles of his friends, the laughter of his family, and the many people he helped through his charity work. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ivy Clement, whose love and guidance shaped John into the charismatic, loving, and adventurous man he was.
