Jerry McCoy

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jerry McCoy, affectionately known as "Shorty" by those who knew and loved him. Born on March 23, 1953, in Jerusalem, Arkansas, Jerry's generous, thoughtful, and loving nature touched the lives of many throughout his 70 years. On May 26, 2023, Jerry departed from this world, leaving behind an unforgettable legacy that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Jerry resided in Hattieville, Arkansas, where he enjoyed a life filled with the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing, and camping. His love for the great outdoors was only surpassed by the love he had for his children and grandchildren. Despite facing challenges in his life due to disability, Jerry never let it define him. His resilient spirit and unwavering optimism served as an inspiration to those around him.
Jerry is survived by his loving children, Mandie McCoy, Holly Young, and Jordan McCoy; his sweetheart, Martha Widner; and his caring brothers, Larry (Charla) McCoy of Atkins and Dennis McCoy of Jerusalem. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Clarene McCoy of Jerusalem, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Jerry's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
