Faye Logan

–

Conway, Arkansas

Faye Elizabeth (Hubbard) Logan, 95, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 28, 2024, in Conway, Arkansas.
She was the wife of the late John Reed Logan, Sr.
Born in Pana, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Mary Frances (McKee) and Clyde Andrew Hubbard, Sr.
Faye attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois prior to her marriage and graduated from Richland Community College later in life. In 1949 she married John, and they welcomed two children, Anne Elizabeth (Logan) Smith and John Reed Logan Jr. They settled in Decatur, Illinois where they made many friends and were lifelong members of the First Presbyterian Church in Decatur. She worked ten years for the United States Government Federal Civil Service, her last post in 1959 was at the Decatur Signal Depot. In 1980, after raising their two children, Faye embarked on a new career as an Executive Secretary for the Trust Departments of Millikin National Bank. She retired in 1994 after fourteen years of outstanding service.
During retirement, Faye and her husband enjoyed splitting time between their home in Decatur, Illinois and their condo in Bradenton, Florida. Many fond memories were made with their children and grandchildren at the Anna Maria Island Beach Café, located on Holmes Beach in Anna Maria Island, Florida. “Grandma Faye-Faye”, as she was so affectionately known by her grandchildren, was always at the ready with tissue and chap stick in her pocket!
Of the many accomplishments in her lifetime, she was most proud of two, namely her husband and two children, and her perfect attendance in grade and high school.
In addition to her husband and parents, Faye is preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Andrew Hubbard Jr., and sisters Norma Roberta Carter, Donna Frances Hubbard, and Margaret Etta Foil. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Elizabeth (Logan) Smith, son-in-law William Eugene Smith, son John Reed Logan Jr, daughter-in-law Dawn Kerry Logan, and grandchildren Michael Reed Bollero, Clinton Baker Logan and Melissa Anne Bollero. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Faye left her earthly body and is now in God’s glorious kingdom, living eternally with her Lord and Savior. Our hearts are full of joy knowing that she and her husband are reunited once again.
Until we meet in Heaven, we will hug you in our souls every day.
A private burial service will take place in Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church, 204 West Prairie Ave, Decatur, IL.
