Eugene Andrew Rathfon IV, known by all as Andrew, was born on the 27th of August, 1984, in Little Rock, AR. Throughout his life, Andrew was a resilient soul, always facing life's challenges with a spirited attitude and a heart full of love. His zest for life was truly infectious, inspiring those around him to live each day to the fullest. Andrew had a unique appreciation for the simple joys in life, finding comfort in the melody of music, the salty air of the beach, the bustling energy at the ball park, and the satisfying crunch of popcorn and hot dogs. His presence was a source of warmth and joy, creating an atmosphere of love and acceptance wherever he went.
Andrew’s greatest treasure was his family. He was a loving son to his parents, Eugene III and Nita Rathfon, and a cherished brother to his sisters Lauren, Aryssa, and Hannah (Dwayne) Ivy , and his niece along with many nephews, aunts, uncles & cousins. His lively spirit was a constant source of joy for his grandmother, Nancy(Dicky) Pitts and all that knew and loved him. Andrew’s life is a testament to Leo Buscaglia's quote, "What we call the secret of happiness is no more a secret than our willingness to choose life." Andrew chose life, love, and happiness every day. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother Jordan Rathfon, his grandfather Jackie Ledford , grandmother, Patricia Rathfon and cousin Dustin Rudder.
As we gather to remember Andrew on Thursday, 06 Jun 2024 at 10:00 am CDT at the Crestlawn Memorial Park (472 U.S. 64, Conway, Arkansas, 72032), we will not only mourn the loss of a beautiful soul but also celebrate his life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched with his loving and spirited nature. As we bid farewell to Andrew, we are reminded of another quote by Leo Buscaglia, "Don't brood. Get on with living and loving. You don't have forever." Eugene did just that, he lived and loved, and inspired us all to do the same.
We invite you to share your memories and photos of Andrew on his memorial page. Your stories and images will serve as a reminder of the resilient, loving, spirited, and inspiring individual that was Eugene Rathfon IV. His legacy will continue to inspire us, and he will be dearly missed.
