Dorothy Lee (Dicus) Hallett Obituary (1931 - 2022)

Dorothy Lee (Dicus) Hallett of Morrilton, AR was called home on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the age of 91. Dorothy was the daughter of Walter Lee and Anna Dorothy (Long) Dicus born on February 28, 1931 in Morrilton, AR. Dorothy was a lifelong member of Riverview Baptist Church in Oppelo, AR. She was employed for many years and retired from Morrilton Plastics. Dorothy had a personality larger than life. She radiated positivity and had a very kind heart; she would help anyone in need. Dorothy was known as a prankster always being up for a good joke. She was notorious for sneaking in a good quick pop with a dish towel. Dorothy had many hobbies including yard work, gardening, taking road trips, and baking- she was famous for her coconut pies amongst the family. Dorothy enjoyed going out to eat, especially at Brown's Catfish in Russellville. Most importantly, Dorothy's heart and soul belonged to her family. Her family always was top priority. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 44 wonderful years: Bill Hallett; parents: Walter and Anna Dicus; and brother: Charles Dicus. Dorothy is survived by her sons: Larry Hallett of Russellville, AR, Ronnie Hallett and wife Becky of Quitman, AR; daughter: Lynn Gulley and husband Rob of Conway, AR; brother: Harold Dicus and wife June of Louisiana; sisters: Betty Mayall of Benton, AR; Faye Davidson of Conway, AR, Katherine Arndt and husband Mike of Oppelo, AR; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home now Union Missionary Baptist Church, #5 Bruce Street, Morrilton, AR 72110. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 01, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the same location with Bro. Mike Atkinson officiating. Internment will be at Wolf Cemetery in Oppelo, AR.
