Denise Northcutt

Denise Northcutt, a smart, loving and significant pillar of the Morrilton, Arkansas community, passed away on January 6, 2026. Born on February 16, 1957, in Morrilton, Denise spent her life in service to her Morrilton and Perryville communities, and her family. She was a librarian by profession, retiring from Max Milam Library, yet her passion for knowledge and literature extended far beyond her job description. Denise served as the Children's Program Director for the Central Arkansas Library System, traveling and reading to thousands of children over her career, instilling in them a love for learning and literature which mirrored her own. She thrived on sharing her knowledge and providing the resources to anyone who wanted to learn.

Denise was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister-in-law. She is survived by her two sons, Stephen (Lena) Northcutt and Adam (Krystal) Northcutt, her sister-in-laws Sandy Williams and Melisa Williams, four nieces, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Her family was her world, and she loved to cook for everyone, sharing her love through her culinary skills and tireless dedication to their well-being. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Christine Williams, and her brothers, Jon and Paul Williams.

A woman of deep faith, Denise was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ. As stated in the Book of Proverbs 31:26, "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue," Denise truly embodied this scripture, generously sharing her wisdom and kindness with all who knew her. A visitation will be held in her honor on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 5:00pm CST at the Downtown Church of Christ, located at 100 West Church Street, Morrilton, Arkansas. A funeral service will follow on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 10:00am CST at the same location.
