Deborah Peterson

–

Bigelow, Arkansas

With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Deborah Peterson, fondly known as "Tater Bug" to her loved ones, on January 24th, 2026. Born in Morrilton, AR, USA on February 25th, 1968, Deborah was a loving, compassionate, and courageous soul whose laughter and warmth touched many lives. As Helen Keller once said, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Deborah's love for others was indeed one of the most beautiful things in the world, felt deeply by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Deborah, a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School, lived her life in Bigelow, Arkansas, fully embracing the joys of community and family. She was a woman of many talents, her hands rarely idle as she found joy in fishing, crocheting, and singing. A lover of life, she had a unique taste for adventure, often seen dressed up on Halloween, an event she looked forward to every year. Despite her own illnesses, Deborah’s courage never faltered. Her love for her children and her passion for taking care of others were unmatched. She had a knack for making people feel cared for, often seen cooking for others. Her beloved pets were also recipients of her endless love and care.

Deborah is survived by her loving mother, Clara (Carl) Talley, her two daughters, Brittany (Jesse) May and Candace (Haden) Scott, three cherished grandchildren, Jay Peterson, the father of her children, and her special friend, Kenneth Garner. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Bryant Sr., and her siblings, Robert Jr. and Susan Bryant. Deborah will forever be remembered for her good sense of humor, her generous heart, and her enduring spirit.

As we remember Deborah, we invite you to share your favorite memories and upload photos of our beloved Tater Bug on the memorial page. Let us celebrate the life of this extraordinary woman who touched our lives in countless ways. As we grieve her loss, let us also celebrate her life, remembering the words of Rumi, "Don’t grieve. Anything you lose comes round in another form."
