Cora Smith Obituary (1939 - 2020)

A private service will be held at Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway, AR. A memorial service will be held at a later date/ Cora Smith, 81, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020. A daughter of J.E. Smith, she was born July 1, 1939 in Little Rock, AR. She is preceded in death by her previous guardian, Sylvia Herring. Cora is survived by her guardian, Janie Southerland of Conway, AR and all her caregivers and friends at the Conway Human Development Center. Born with many challenges and having lived at CHDC for 51 years, she touched the lives of many others during the years. She was affectionately known as "Granny" and had an unforgettable laugh. She gave undconditional love and asked for nothing in return, and was able to teach others patience and compassion without saying a word. A special thank you to the staff and friends at the Conway Human Development Center who have so graciously been a part of Coras Life and provided her care. She will be missed by many.
