Celia Smith Obituary (1949 - 2023)

Celia Louise Smith passed away on Monday April 17, 2023 in Conway AR. She was born on March 12, 1949 in Neponset, Illinois to Charles Wood and Marjorie (Hill) Wood. Celia grew up in Neponset where, in 1967 she graduated High School with honors. She was Class President and Salutatorian of her class. She later moved to Conway AR where she attended U.C.A. and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Accounting. From there she started working in the field of Office Management and retired from Tech Service International. Celia's hobbies included collecting ceramic shoes, a hobby that started with her grandmother when she was a child, and she also enjoyed reading. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marjorie Wood, and her brother Daniel Wood. Celia is survived by her husband of 25 years, William "Bill" Smith. her brother Stephan (Janice(deceased), 2 nieces, Kathy (Dave) Baker, and Karen (Richard) Jacobs, 2 nephews, Christopher Wood and William (Kory) Wood. 2 great nephews, 3 great nieces, 7 great-great nephews, 3 great-great nieces and many friends and loved ones. . Celia service will be held 1:00PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Harvest Church of the Nazarene 194 Old Military Conway, AR 72034.
