Carolyn Yarbrough Obituary (1939 - 2024)

Carolyn Yarbrough departed this world on February 25, 2024. Born in Overcup, Arkansas, on August 2, 1939, Carolyn extended love, compassion, and empathy to everyone she met. Carolyn was dedicated to serving others through her work in the healthcare field and always in caring for her family. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, cooking, and canning. She loved people, and she cherished time spent visiting with family and friends. Above all, the light of Carolyn's life was Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She continually shared the light of His love in the way she spoke and by how she lived. Carolyn's high school sweetheart, Bobby Yarbrough, became her beloved husband of 66 years. She is survived by him and by their sons, Robert Yarbrough(Peggy), Billy Yarbrough(Deanie), daughter, Melanie Turley(Jim), six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, many adored nieces and nephews, and other cherished family and friends. Carolyn was preceeded in death by her father, Payton Yocum, her mother, Velma Underwood Yocum, one brother, five sisters, and one grandson. Burial will be at Ada Valley Cemetery by Rosewood Cremation and Funeral, and a memorial service will be planned at a later date.
