Little Rock, Arkansas
Carl Walter Fandrei, affectionately known as Chuck to those who loved him, passed from this world on March 20, 2024. Born in East Chicago, IN, USA on July 10, 1949, Carl spent the majority of his life in Little Rock, Arkansas. A spirited and resilient man, Carl was known for his love of photography, a passion he turned into a successful career. He was an avid golfer and movie enthusiast, and could often be found on the greens, laughing with friends, his favorite pastime.
Carl was a man of great empathy, who brought joy to those around him with his funny and warm nature. As we remember him, we reflect on the verse from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, a reflection of Carl's Lutheran faith and his resilient spirit: "Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
He is survived by his son, Gavin Fandrei, and his brother, Randy Fandrei. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alice and Carl Fandrei. Carl's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering spirit.
We invite you to share your memories and photos of Carl on his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a tribute to the remarkable man he was and the enduring impact he made on all who knew him.
