Billie Jean Hargrove

–

El Paso, Arkansas

Billie Jean Hargrove, born January 17, 1936, in Little Rock, Arkansas, was a gift to this world. With a heart as warm as a southern sunrise and a spirit as vibrant as a summer bloom, she left an unforgettable imprint on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. A loving mother, sister, and friend, Billie Jean's compassion was like a beacon in the night, guiding those around her towards kindness and understanding.

In her professional life, Billie Jean dedicated herself to the medical care field, providing home health care services to those in need. Her commitment to taking care of others was not just a job but a calling, a testament to her generous nature. Even in her personal time, Billie Jean's hands were never still. She was always creating something beautiful, be it a knitted scarf, a sewn quilt, or an embroidered design. Her crafting was a tangible reflection of her character – thoughtful, meticulous, and filled with love.

A faithful member of the Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, Billie Jean’s life was a living example of the verse from Galatians 5:22: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness". She was the embodiment of these virtues, spreading love and joy everywhere she went. Today, we remember her not with tears and sorrow, but with gratitude for the joy she brought into our lives.

Billie Jean is survived by her daughters, Deborah Tull and Delores Murray, and her brother, Otis Shadle. She was predeceased by her husband, Clyde T. Hargrove, her parents, McKinley Shadle and Alma Vanpelt, and her children Rachel Garrett, Brandi Fortner Hargrove, and Clay Hargrove.

We invite you to share your memories of Billie Jean and upload photos to her memorial page. In doing so, we can all continue to celebrate her remarkable life and keep her spirit alive in our hearts.
